**city of hope celebrity softball game :: met chuck wicks in the parking lot before the game. also saw jason aldean & two foot fred. met storme warren, eric gunderson (love & theft), mike & tom gossin (from gloriana).
**met jake owen at the country music hall of fame and got a hug from him. :)
**chely wright's reading, writing, and rhythm benefit. stopped by in the early afternoon, right at the end of a live auction of a sarah buxton grammy dress. :) sarah & jedd spotted us and said hi. then jedd motioned for us to come over to him. hugs were exchanged, smiles, and thanks for coming. michelle & i also bought the only 3 reading, writing, and rhythm bags signed by our lovely buxton hughes! that night, they opened the show. first show ever with a full band! all kinds of awesome. they closed their set with "stupid boy." i don't know what it was -- but that was the most epic version i've ever heard. it produced tears and chills. awesome! when we ran into them after the cmt awards, we informed them of that...and they said they had the same reaction. there was def. something special about the night.
**went to the cmt awards..so much fun! ran into sarah buxton & jedd hughes after and got to talk for awhile. love them!
**little big town fan club listening party. we got to listen to 5 never before heard tracks off the new cd coming out august 24th. that cd is gonna be amazing. LBT remembered me from Charlotte/Raleigh 2 weeks ago. phillip definitely told me "hey baby, i remember you," as he walked off the stage.
**lynn anderson ("rose garden") knocked on my window and asked for my parking spot as i was leaving. hahaha.
**went to blake shelton's fan club party at the wildhorse saloon. apparently 75% of his fan base is women that are 40+. who knew? so much fun though! miranda lambert, dierks bentley, laura bell bundy, erin andrews, and nan kelley all made special appearances. it was an all request night and anytime blake didn't know the song/messed up, he put $20 in a bucket for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
**watched emily west perform at the abc tent. thank you for shade! michelle & i totally got shout outs from the stage from her. :) after the set, everyone rushed to the stage -- and she was sure to talk to michelle & i/take pictures with us before being whisked away.
**CMTT Food for the Soul Benefit concert -- got to see my fave Carter Twins again and see Mallary Hope for the first time. Met all 3 of them after their sets. Zach Carter totally remembered me and we talked for a few minutes about where I was from, the heat, and other stuff. He also liked my key necklace, since he had one too, so we had to take a picture together showing that off.
